Challenge: The video keeps skipping.
Solution: Pause the video and wait for it to buffer (load). You can tell that it’s buffering by the dark gray bar that loads at the bottom of the video.
If the video still is not playing smoothly after it has buffered, it may be a result of the internet connection speed or amount of users on the website at this particular point in time. You can click on the ‘listen to the audio’ link directly below the video to listen to the mp3 or try the video again at a later time. The audio content is identical to the videos. Challenge: When I click to play the video/audio, a question mark appears over the QT logo.
Solution: First, make sure you’ve got the latest version of QuickTime on your computer.
If the video still does not play, grab the latest Flash Player from Adobe.com and install it (even if you already have it installed) - this should set Adobe’s Flash as the appropriate player.
If the video still does not play, you may need to adjust some of your settings:
Then check on a setting in QuickTime’s “Preferences” -
1) Visit the Vista Control Panel (in “classic view”)
2) Double-click the QuickTime Control Panel
3) Select the Advanced tab.
4) Under Media Types, select Enable Playback Of Flash Tracks.
5) Close the QuickTime Control Panel.

Make sure to exit your browsers, iTunes, and QuickTime windows (if any are open). And then visit a website to see if the trailers play OK.

If still no go, try setting your IE to default settings:
1) Revisit the Vista Control Panel.
2) Select Internet Options.
3) Under the Advanced tab, select the “RESET” button (at the lower right-hand side of the box).

Challenge: When I click ‘play’, it asks me to install a plugin.
Solution: This site uses quicktime videos. If your computer does not have the latest version of quicktime, you may need to install the quicktime plug in to view the videos. Please follow these directions.

Challenge: I’m new to the Online Learning Center. How do I get the most out of this resource?
Solution: You can access information three different ways. You can search by topic and keyword using the yellow search bar on the dashboard. You can browse Q&A, or submit your own question for consideration. And you can view modules that correspond to information in the for impact roadmap. Each video entry has the video clip, and audio mp3 file, and online transcripts are coming soon. Log in frequently to view the ‘clip of the day’ for daily motivation, tips and epiphanies from tom, nick, and training camp attendees.

Challenge: How do I submit a question to be included in the Q & A?
Solution: You can email members@forimpact.org to submit your question. This email address can also be found at the bottom of the Q&A page.

Challenge: What is the difference between Q&A and Ask The Coach?
Solution: When you ‘ask the coach’ a question, it is emailed directly to Nick and Tom. Questions submitted via Ask the Coach may be added to the ever-growing Q&As.

Challenge: If I ‘ask the coach’, is my question visible to other members?
Solution: No, the ‘ask the coach’ is emailed directly to Nick and Tom, and is not visible by other members. However applicable questions may be (and are) added to the Q&A section for the Online Learning Center community.

Challenge: How long are the videos?
Solution: Each individual video differs in length. The running time of the video is listed above each video on the page, and on the Roadmap, the times are listed to the right.

Challenge: How do I download the mp3 file to my computer/ipod?
Solution: Right Click on the link for the attachment and choose the ’save as’ option.

Challenge: I want to download an attached .doc or .pdf, but when I click on the link, it opens a new browser window instead.
Solution: Right Click on the link for the attachment and choose the ’save as’ option.

Challenge: How do I download videos to watch when I’m not online?
Solution: Videos are only available to view while you are logged into the Online Learning Center. You can, however, download the mp3 files to listen to offline by right clicking on the mp3 or ‘listen online’ link and choosing ’save as’.

Challenge: How do I change my password?
Solution: At the top right, click on ‘My Account”. Under “useful lnks” clickon change password/edit profile.

Challenge: How do I view past clips of the day?
Solution: An archive of the clips of the day will be available in the near future.

Challenge:Am I allowed to share audio and documents that I have downloaded from this site with my boss/coworkers?
Solution: Yes! Please share what you have learned with others. We do ask that all copyright information remains with its respective documents and that you share with others that this content is from For Impact | The Suddes Group.
