A very ‘gentle’ reminder around SIMPLICITY…
I think everyone at the two-day Business to Arts session agreed that all of us make our MESSAGE, our MATH, our PRESENTATIONS… way too COMPLEX.
I hope you’ll remember my example of Big Al (Einstein). He wrote the entire Theory of Relativity on 3 pages! Summarized with 3 words. Then, reduced to 3 letters!!!
The CHALLENGE for today (and for the next 40 days…) is to keep things SIMPLE!
Special Note: Hedda at Serendipity Theatre has generously allowed me to share her ENGAGEMENT TOOL with all of you.
Version #1 was her takeaway from the Training. It is 100 times better than a blank sheet of paper!!!
We made some changes for Version #2. Primarily, it was to create more of an Altitude/Top Down FLOW. (Instead of talking right away about money and contributions… Hedda is now starting with her ‘Blue Box’: Enhancing the Quality of the Day for Older Audiences in Care Homes.)
The biggest positive and takeaway from this is that Hedda has simplified her Presentation around the BLUE BOX, her GOALS, her PRIORITIES and a very simple 3-YEAR FUNDING PLAN.
Way to go Hedda!
