Start of another great week. I thought I’d share one of my greatest ‘takeaways’ from our time together:
THE ‘ARTS COUNCIL’ IS YOUR:
• BEST PARTNER!
• BEST INVESTOR!
• BEST RELATIONSHIP!
You need to treat them as such!
• Communicate Your Goals and Plans.
• Share Your New Messages and Math.
• Engage Them in Ongoing Dialogue, Conversation.
*And, explain how you are trying to LEVEAGE their support.
Plus, THANK THEM in every way possible for what they (Arts Council, the Irish Government) allow you to do.
Special Note: The ‘ATITUDE’ at the end of training seemed to best capture our new thinking.
SUPPORT for the ARTS in Ireland is AMAZING! Stop worrying (complaining) about cuts… and start treating Arts Council and Government Funding as the Best Partner you could have.
