No More “News”

Tom Suddes | February 26, 2009

WHAT IF you didn’t read or listen to any more stories about the ‘economy’???

I’ve received numerous emails about the Wall Street Journal’s article on College Fund-Raising Outlook Darkens after Surge. Amidst the doom and gloom was a comment about this year being the worse since 1975.

That was the year we kicked off the CAMPAIGN FOR NOTRE DAME, a $130 Million Imitative.

I was 26, naïve, passionate… and didn’t even realize we were in a bad economy/recession. We just kept focused, made our visits, kept selling. We raised $180 Million, $50 Million over goal.

There is a lot to be said about “young, naïve, passionate… and CLUELESS!”

Keep your HEAD UP (attitude) and your HEAD DOWN (focus).
